I have been having some frustration about a lot of things, so I have just been lurking on your blogs!
Lot of money output.... prices going through the roof on stuff, can't get money to pay stuff off. Ugh.
DH bought me a necklace for my birthday. It is beautiful. I told him not to buy it, we can't afford it. We really can't! But he got it anyway, which means more debt, which more debt is usually (always) MY FAULT, so down the pike, I will pay for the necklace in grief! Ugh!
Kids need to go back to school! Ugh! One down, two to go!
On a better note, bought DH his birthday gift. Just one. Bought on ebay and used money I had in my paypal account from selling stuff! This last week of sales was outstanding and will be able to use some for groceries!

I have recently noticed that we were going deeper into our checking acct 'buffer', as well as receiving notices of forthcoming increases in utilities' cost (often with lower consumption on our part!) And let's not even talk of gas prices! Sure enough, after a closer look at our budget, our expenses had creeped up a tad too close to the income coming in each month. I mean, so much for economizing and reducing our utility consumption and cutting down on the grocery bill, etc, etc,! But you know, I calmed down and asked myself what COULD I do? I feel hopeful that we (by that, I mean me leading, ok dragging, the family) can tighten the belt a little further, and bit by bit the budget will have a tad more breathing room. I feel hopeful for you and your family too! (Now, if only, all this 'tightening of the belt' resulted in an actual reduced waistline on me - ha!)
btw - so far my girls are doing pretty good, but ask me in another week and I'll probably being joining you with the 'when's school starting' mantra!
Best wishes all around!!
