Frugally Making Lunches

December 3rd, 2007 at 04:51 am

I was buried in bread!! Each Sunday I make up the kids lunches for the week and store them in the fridge. Apple slices, chips (individually divided into zippered snack bags), a sweet treat (yep, store bought this week - oops)and a drink. Oh, and the sandwiches, 15 of them suckers. DD3 prefers the bologna (cut into a cute christmas tree shape), DD1 peanut butter straight up and DD2 the old PBJ! All set for another week. I can't tell you how happy those sacks lined up in the fridge make me at 6 in the morning!!

for some reason, i never liked pb&j sandwiches as a kid. Recently, though, i tried peanut butter and raspberry jam spread on a whole wheat tortilla wrap, and it was pretty good.

Sounds like a good idea! I would be worried that everything wouldn't keep, but it sounds like it works for you! Definitely beats the morning rush to make lunch.
