Wow! What a grand opening! You would think that the store was giving things away. They opened a new Goodwill Thrift store in a nice neighborhood, going for a more "upscale" shopping experience. It was so fun to see the people! It was so packed you could'nt even move! Only bought a couple of things. Been getting ready to redo DD1's bedroom. Found a pink comforter for $10 (they insisted it was queen size, but it is full sized, oh well) will have to clean it up a little, but no big deal. And a lamp and a piggy bank she can paint the way she wants to. Oh, and a Christmas gift for DD2. I can't wait to go back and really look around when the crowds go down and it is so conviently located! My new fav shopping spot!
Took DD2 out to dinner for her birthday. We are offically done with birthdays till next year!

Have yet to regret much of anything that I passed by! I just enjoy finding the great bargains or neat items at what would be great prices....now that I'm into decluttering I don't go as often but when I do I just don't buy as much. Do enjoy the thrift shopping experience.
I do sort of the same thing on ebay - watching lots of items but not buying. The clicking to put them into the watch list is often times enough for me. This way I envision owning it (albeit for a short time), but the costs don't crack my budget! I inheriently know that this is lying to myself in some form or fashion, but don't argue with myself over it too much because it works for me.
The big Goodwill in our town is about 3 minutes away from FrugalSon's morning job, so when I've got a few minutes to kill while waiting to pick him up, guess where I head? It's also convenient to drop off our donations.
Gotta love a good thrift store!! And/or the ocassional FAKE OUT shopping experience!!
