Spent the day in the closet

December 31st, 2006 at 02:38 am

Yes, like my friend Baselle, I spent the day cleaning out the closet and doing various other tidying up for the New Year! Found 2 outfits I will give up to ebay. I only wore each one once! Got rid of some old sheets - glad to see them holey things go! Made sure all the laundry is caught up on too. Washed all the bed linens and remade the bed. Still need to go through the Christmas decorations and get rid of the ones I did'nt put out this year, make room for the packing up in a few days.
I have lots of stuff for charity. Still torn between no more garage sales and just giving it to charity. So far getting rid of it is still holding out. They are getting some good stuff! The best stuff I will ebay.

Well with Baselle and you cleaning out a closet I suppose I will do the same this week. My problem, as a guy, is that I cannot bring myself to throw out things when they become rags.WinkSmile

Yes, well, I guess if your name begins with a B, you better get in a closet - Bookie!!- of course we also welcome Amber and Priceplus as well! :-) I don't think I'll have to live in it, like BA, but sometimes with DH's snoring, well.....

I'll be getting into the closet next week! I am going to view it as journey to adventure because I never know what I'll find!Big Grin

I gotta put into the closet - the now third set of dishes in the house!! My Dad gave me a new set for Christmas. I inherited my mother-in-law's when Dear FIL passed away last year - these are already IN my closet.

Friday I freshly washed, dried and well-packed my old wedding dishes - they've got to find a place in the bottom of my closet or down to the basement they both go. The two extra sets are in semi-permanent holding for the two boys still at home...when they move out...they go w/dishes! I am using my pretty and fancy new ones.

I've been doing closet-purges w/Flylady and Missus Smarty Pants the last couple of years so the clothes portion of the closet isn't too bad, but the shoes up top could stand a good going-thru. Any that need to go will be passed to the domestic violence shelter in town.

Any of the other L's with me? LuckyRobin, crz.Liblady?? Let's not let our section of the alphie be known as closet clutterfreakazoids....be gone o' trashy stuff - Be Gone!!

Well, Lux, I cleaned out my closet in November, and Rose's closet is the only clean thing in her room. Tobias' closet and bed are the only neat things in his room. There is the hall closet, which isn't that bad but needs a new door knob and the linen closet is always neat. I suppose I could clean the kids's rooms, but nah...I don't wanna. L doesn't just start LuckyRobin, it starts lazy, too. Which I wanna be, today anyway.
