How to discipline

I bought lunch out today - undisciplined.
I spent $20 more than I should have at the grocery store- undisciplined.
I know how to save money, I know my debts and have faced them, how in the world do I get discipline to get serious about getting out of debt? What is going to light the fire of "ah-ha?"
Maybe I need to read more stories of success. Anyone know where I can find good sites for this?

    Sites to develop discipline? No, I know of none. But having a goal, something that you really, really want helps to give you discipline. I for example really, really want to be able to pay my own way in old age. Therefore I save. (There are other things that motivate me, but that is a biggie.)

    I agree this is difficult for me too. I am not good with the longer term, more esoteric goals (like college funds, retirement, etc...) they are just so far off that I don't feel motivated. I try to put these on autowithdrawl because I am not typically motivated to achieve them. However if there is a book (Harry Potter) or a pair of really great sandals I want to be able to afford out of my spending money I'll happily take my lunch from home everday and cut back all around. For me, the goals have to be really immediate...

    Well I'll tell you what did it for me.... 11 years ago when my oldest daughter was a junior in high school, very good grades and planning on college. That's what got me motivated. Same daughter is going to be 28 tomorrow and getting her second degree in a totally different field (ultrasound technology) on her own, after we helped her out with the first (criminal justice) and her working for three years as a juvenile probation officer.
