Ebay disappointment

July 17th, 2007 at 05:02 am

Our ebay sales did not go well at all! I just can't seem to get the hang of this. I actually shot myself in the foot on this one. DD2 gave me some little Hamtaros to list and they have been going like HOTCAKES! Big bucks! So we started the listing at .99 to let it ride. Well, it did'nt. Frown One of the items sold for .99! These things have been going for $35 to $100!! Geeze! Had I know, I would have at least listed it for $5 or $10! Ugh! Live and learn.

Are you checking to see which ones were selling high? Also, before you list, take into consideration how many of that particular one are already listed, when those listings end, how much they are going for, and how many people have bid on them. Sometimes its a hit or miss, but checking these little things helps. Also, I always try to make sure my listings run for at least part if not all of the weekend. It takes time with a new item you aren't all that familiar with selling, but you'll get it!

    Good luck!

    Sorry things didn't go well.

Other tips: Make sure everything is spelled properly, especially your title. Make sure you have a very clear, well-lit, close-up photo of the item. Check how similar items are titled and word yours similarly. Same goes for descriptions. Be sure you give a detailed description including condition. Make sure your shipping charge is in line with similar items.

    Better luck on future auctions.
