I am back to focusing on saving money. Turned the AC up 2 more degrees, no one has noticed yet!
Took DH to dinner last night and used the rest of the garage sale money.
Will work on fixing my trash picked clothes rack.
Trying to think of things I can start buying ahead on for Christmas, but can't think of a darned thing anyone needs! Too spoiled! One year I went in August to Walmart and put stuff in layaway, but found that the good deals actually come RIGHT before Christmas. Will have to think about it some more!
Back to focus

I am limiting myself to only buying if it is a really good deal.
You know, one thing I did one year for DD1 and her DH- I "sponsered" a python snake at our state zoo. The donation went to supporting the snake and came with a certificate. The kids went to visit their 'adopted' reptile during the year.
I bet your girls would get a kick out of something like this!
Another is to buy chicks or a goat for a poor family at:

These types of gifts keep giving...and go to such a good cause!!
Good Luck!

I do shop at our local thrift stores for figurines that match the animals I am planning on giving........And, then I wrap the certificate & info from heifer along with their raffia llama for instance! (that one is small enough it doubles as an ornament on the tree which is kind of fun to see each year)
