Treating this as a journal

June 11th, 2007 at 03:58 am

I have been more worried about content, than I have of keeping track of my expenses.

I may just start leaving a ramble everyday, so I can track my progress and stop worrying whether anyone will find it interesting!

So todays spending:
McD's breakfast/coffee 3.00
Made dinner! Smile
Walgreens prescriptions 90.00
Walgreens almonds/diet coke/sugarless candy 11.20

Tomorrows goal:
pack lunch
cook dinner
no spend

Remember that your first responsibility is to yourself. If you write a journal interesting to you, you will at least have an audience of one. If you try to second guess and write about what you think other people will read you run the risk that no one will read it.

Not to worry, I always ready your entries!!

When I was cooking for the masses, with kids everywhere.......one of my rules was to have dinner for the next night figured out before I went to bed. I had just had it with standing in the kitchen around 4PM, trying to figure out how to feed the tribe by 6....

Having a plan made all the difference to me. I'm not one that a weeks menu plan would work well......but give me 24 hours & I was fine. Time to take things out of the freezer, locate the "parts" to the dinner from the pantry, etc.

I'm enjoying the luxury of not having to cook anymore but I sure remember the constant job of "chief cook".

    Keep your entries coming!

I read your posts all the time too! Nothing uninteresting here! I think we all ramble every now and then... I'm definitely guilty! Most of my posts are hideously long! hehe. Keep them comin!

Contrary, that's what DH and I try to do each night. Last night we had a barbecued marinated chuck roast. DH decided chili would be a good idea with the leftovers, so I started soaking pinto beans as we cleaned up the kitchen. We already have chili powder, canned tomatoes and fresh onion due to our regular pantry items on hand.

Kathy I enjoy your posts, even just spending logs....nice to see how I compare.

I read your posts too. Don't worry about the content. Sometimes I write about things that are not finance related at all, but when I need to vent etc. Hey it's better than running off to the shops and buying something to make me feel better, right?
