Good Lord, I hate to whine, but I got the F-L-U!! Not the flu, the F-L-U!! OMG! I have never had the FLU like this in my entire life. The body ache, the cough, the fever, the chills. All I could do was cry that I wanted my mommy!!!
Anyone have an idea how long this will last? I went to the doc yesterday and he just said take Tylenol/Ibprofin and he gave me prescription for a hydrocodone cough syrup?? I took it twice last night, but I sure felt WORSE when I got up this morning, so I think I will lay off that! We are supposed to have company tomorrow night, this has been going on since Wednesday, I hope and pray I feel better by then.On a financial note, I had great plans of posting about my great plans! And on getting rid of the CC's and moving forward to being debt free. I may not make it by the 1st, but maybe by next weekend.

On the financial side, I thought for sure you were going to say...DEBT! I always get a big case of it for Christmas, which makes it hard to avoid being a Scrooge. But it spurred me to come here, and I'm glad I did!

I had the stinking flu twice these last months. IT was terrible. But it only lasted a couple of days (I heard some horror stories of a week or so).
Oh I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!

Sorry, Ralph, but the way things have gone w/antibiotics, and all the ENFORCED vaccinations in the U.S., I'm very leary of getting in line to let someone poke me with a needle for something I haven't got. I'll save my system the shock, and if ever something comes along that really scares the beejeebies out of me, THEN I MIGHT line up.
It doesn't help that my Mom was a public health nurse and we were vaccinated out the wazoooooo as children, Nurse Harris (not my Mom) was the most unskilled woman EVER in giving shots - she just jabbed and where everyone else could at least not make it hurt any worse, she was the WORST!! The ever loving PITS I tell you! Every shot I ever got from her bruised BLACK AND PURPLE AND YELLOW and swelled up and was sore for weeks and weeks. I still have NIGHTMARES!! Thanks Ralph for reminding me... no really, I'll just muffle the screams w/my favorite pillow, it will be all right!
Boo, keep pushing the liquids.

I am sorry to hear your feeling miserable. I wish I can help but only advise is try to sleep as much as you can to pass the time. Maybe put a hot water bottle between the sheets for comfort? Movies also helps when you are in too much pain to sleep. I remember those days and had to breath under the sheets otherwise my breath froze from the air feeling so cold.
