Food numbers

I got this website from someone else on this blog:

It lists current USDA food plans for different sized families. Every once in a while and I go check the numbers. I am pleased to say we are still way under the "thrifty" plan amount for a family of 5! Makes me wonder what everyone is buying!!

    Yes, I am well under the thrifty plan for a family of 4 also, but I think there stuff must be based all on full price brand name foods, because I find the amounts they list to be ridiculous.
