Back from vacation

Dh with 2DD's on "Wildfire".
We just got back from a quick trip to Branson Missouri. Took the kids to Silver Dollar City. We were supposed to take out a boat on Saturday, but would'nt you know, they got about 8 INCHES of rain! So we spent our time in town, did some shopping at an outlet mall (are these places really cheaper? I don't think so, unless you find a good clearance!) We also went to the Titanic exhibit. Very educational, but quite a downer. My DH said, "What did you expect, them all to live and a happy ending??" Well, it is vacation! So now we are home safe and sound. I had chosen a condo based on the internet and emailing with the owner. There was a little "stretched" lingo in the verbage. We were nowhere near the water, lake or pool. But oh well, since it rained anyway. They also said they had internet connection. I called her about this and "lo and behold" there must be something wrong with it, but it is located in another unit. Whatever. We sponged off someones wireless that did'nt need a password. All in all, a good time was had, except for DH who did'nt have good fishing!

    Oh! I love Branson! My family went there one year on the way to dropping my brother off for school. It is so much fun - I especially loved the farm where we were able to take a horseback tour and see all these "old time" buildings, etc.

    I'm glad you guys had fun, despite the rain!

    Welcome back!! I wondered why youve been MIA. Sounds like you all had fun inspite of the not-so-truths...I have never been to Branson, but my parents and kids have...and they loved it. I am glad to know you have had some RnR. You needed it!

    Welcome home! Glad you had a great time. I went to a Titanic exhibit in which we were given names of people to be. You got to go through the exhibit as a passenger or crew person. I was approached by the captain to be deloused.....Sobering to get to the end and find out only two of our extended family group that went to the exhibit survived.

    Our relatives in Kansas took us to SDC once - how fun!

    Outlets here are useless, but my friend lives near Salt Lake City & took us to the outlets there. They have REAL outlets! LOL. I am not sure if California has any "real" outlets. So I know what you mean.
